How to Use the Homemade Infused Lube

Homemade lube can be used alone or with a partner. Once you decide what potency and essential oil combinations you like best, you can make another batch or come up with new recipes. It’s recommended to use roughly 1mL when beginning to use your infused lube. 

In addition to using your homemade lube in the bedroom, this recipe can also be used as a simple massage oil or pain-relief balm. Even if you don’t use the lube for the assumed purposes, you can still use it to give a wonderful back massage to your partner- especially after a tough day at the gym. 

Note: It’s important to remember that coconut oil isn’t compatible with most condoms. The oil can degrade the latex and cause condoms to break. In this case, use glycerin in place of coconut oil, or use latex-free condoms. 

What Does Homemade Lube Feel Like?

This recipe can be used as an infused lube, massage oil, or even used as a pain-relief relief alternative. It creates a slippery surface, so it doesn’t need to be re-applied constantly. It also offers another great sensory experience with the aromas of your chosen essential oils. 

It takes somewhere between 15-45 minutes to start really feeling the effects of the lube, so you can apply it to yourself ahead of time, or you can get your partner to give you a massage as you wait for the effects to kick in.

• 2 cups of Infused-Coconut Oil 
• Lavender, Jasmine, or Ylang-Ylang Essential Oils
• Bottles with lids (made for liquids)

Directions

1. First, you’ll want to decarb your herb to then infuse it with coconut oil using LĒVOs default Activate cycle.

2. Next, infuse your flower into coconut oil by infusing at 165°F for at 2.5-5 hours.

3. Pour the oil into a mixing bowl. If you want to make different scents with a variety of essential oils, you can separate the infused coconut oil into smaller mixing bowls.

4. Add 3-5 drops of essential oils per 8 oz of lube.

5. Now you can pour your infused and fragrant lube into the bottles and store them. You may want to label the bottles based on the essential oil additions.
